When is the Right Time for 11+ Tutoring?
The ideal time to start 11+ tutoring is typically in Year 4 or early Year 5, depending on your child’s needs. Starting in Year 4 allows for a more gradual build-up of skills and ensures plenty of time for practice and consolidation before the exam. It also gives students the opportunity to become familiar with the format of the GL Assessment and other areas of the exam, such as reasoning and maths, before they encounter these topics in school. For those starting in Year 5, tutoring can provide a more focused, intensive approach, with a shorter timeframe to cover everything needed.
